POST 4/2026 CARBIS BAY, CORNWALL, UK . . . Walks. Friends. Lent. Evensong. Coffee mornings. Concert. Day out. Books. Casual meet-ups. Meals in and out. News. Rain, wind, hail, mud, cold. Now, lo and behold, after a few sunny spells we’re breaking out the sunscreen. All of these factors figure significantly in driving home a sense of home. It’s good to be here, home from home.

Squint and you should see a rainbow over Godrevy Lighthouse.

The Eden Project is a global garden like no other, set in a 30-acre china clay pit near St Austell, Cornwall. It’s truly a reconnection with the natural world. “We are a charity and a catalyst for change–inspiring positive action,” the flyer says. We visited 24 years ago, one year after it opened. Thanks to Steve and Marilyn for taking us there again.

Sadly I failed to get the plant’s name. It looks as though it’s waiting to talk.
