Post 20/2023 Sunday 4 June . . . We have, we are, we’ll continue to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Mid-May with friends in Cornwall, UK. Same at home with friends and family in Indiana. More to come. Cards, bouquets, hanging plants, meals out, toasts, best wishes from far and wide. Lovely. We’re chuffed/delighted/humbled/happy. Thankful for the years we’ve shared, anticipating grace-filled paths ahead.
Time seems to have accelerated these past few weeks/years. One supposes that’s perfectly normal what with all the forms of instant communication we have at our disposal. Not complaining, just observing.
One result is that I’ve come to the end/start of the week and the thoughts I was mulling for a new blog post get filed away. Not a great loss. Be that as it may, I plod on.
UK goodbyes

Goshen hellos
The first two photos are from a walk a week ago to the Goshen Farmers’ Market with a stop at the library on the way home. Other photos show anniversary gifts, resident gardens and “first fruits” of strawberry season.

It’s that time element intruding on the moment. Uncommented on this week: two fine Sunday worship services, the first show of the summer season at the Wagon Wheel Theatre, The Little Mermaid (deserving multiple bravos), exchanges with friends and neighbors, planting flowers, reading, thoughts on the news, the weather, sundry this and sundry that–life moves on. One trusts that the unity of mind, body and soul will stay within reasonable balance.
